A symbolic shield of knots casts a protective spell
Jana Mosconi
Young designer born in 2000, she lives in Milan, where she studies visual arts at NABA. She often works within the context of mechanic workshops and farms, manipulating nature and earth, and creating peculiar objects, crafted from materials considered raw, such as wood, bolts, and ropes.
According to an old Russian tradition, a fishing net was cast over newlyweds to wish them luck: all knots should have been untied before anyone could cause harm to the couple. People sought refuge from witches beneath woven wicker chairs. Knots are seen as protective in many cultures. Through an interweaving of industrial straps, the Technogym Bench is enveloped in a textile, symbolic shield.

The exclusive Technogym Bench collection, beyond its functional use, serves as an artistic expression and a symbol of social responsibility. After being showcased at Milan Design Week, the creations will be auctioned off in collaboration with Sotheby's and sold on technogym.com. All profits will be donated to UNICEF*.
