A modern interpretation of timeless artisanal Chinese porcelain
Chankalun (Karen Chan)
A female neon artist in a male-dominated scene, Chankalun explores the fusion of new technologies in her works. Dubbed an "art-vocate" by National Geographic, her art addresses vital issues and inspires change. Her mission is to keep the neon legacy vibrant through resilience and experimentation.
The Technogym Bench design draws inspiration from the artist's earlier work, Neo(n)-Antique Art, a modern take on traditional Chinese porcelain. Cobalt blue neon tubes, crafted in Murano, mimic the shape of antique clouds on porcelain plates. Similar to Technogym's innovative approach to fitness through technology, this artwork represents a modern reinterpretation of timeless artisanal craft.
Design to Move
A special exhibition held at Technogym Milano during 2024 Design Week, Design to Move explores the unique and profound connection between design and wellness, style and functionality, emotional and tangible. The exclusive Technogym Bench collection, beyond its functional use, serves as an artistic expression and a symbol of social responsibility. After being showcased at Milan Design Week, the creations will be auctioned off in collaboration with Sotheby's and sold on technogym.com. All profits will be donated to UNICEF*.
