Iwan Suastika
A young artist, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Design from the Indonesian Institute of the Arts in Yogyakarta. His works, crafted on paper, canvas, and sculpture, weave a fantastical and surreal reality, while also serving as a means of expressing his ideas about the surrounding environment.
Chaos and harmony are two coexisting facets of the world, a concept that the artist tries to address in his works. The Equilibrium, his interpretation of the Technogym Bench, focuses on the relationship between humans and the universe. An intricate pattern of figures represents the human, natural, and animal worlds as deeply interconnected, emphasizing the influence of human actions on the environment.
Design to Move
A special exhibition held at Technogym Milano during 2024 Design Week, Design to Move explores the unique and profound connection between design and wellness, style and functionality, emotional and tangible. The exclusive Technogym Bench collection, beyond its functional use, serves as an artistic expression and a symbol of social responsibility. After being showcased at Milan Design Week, the creations will be auctioned off in collaboration with Sotheby's and sold on technogym.com. All profits will be donated to UNICEF*.
