A tactile masterpiece emerges from cotton velvet, its modular form inviting exploration and intrigue
Riccardo Beretta
Born in 1982, he lives and works in Milan. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera and attended the Universität der Künste in Berlin. His work, featured in numerous collective and solo exhibitions, transcends the boundary between art and design.
The artwork CHILD. Sleeping Bag, 2016-2024, is a soft sculpture crafted from cotton velvet. Its shape is modular, thanks to a perimeter zipper and a series of stitches. Whether open, closed, rolled up or folded, it presents itself through a choreography of multiple positions, emphasizing its steadfast rejection of immobility. An idea of movement that emerges in the exhibited version, which envelops the Technogym Bench.

The exclusive Technogym Bench collection, beyond its functional use, serves as an artistic expression and a symbol of social responsibility. After being showcased at Milan Design Week, the creations will be auctioned off in collaboration with Sotheby's and sold on technogym.com. All profits will be donated to UNICEF*.
